I took this picture from the bottom of the coulee, looking up at one of the walls. On the side of the loess hill, just below the horizon, you can see a set of periodic undulations. They are slightly asymmetric (steeper on the right) leading us to believe that they are current ripples from the Missoula floods. Again there are some interesting vegetation patterns in the bottom of the valley, there is a seasonal lake that covers this area at times.
