The glacier front. Yosuke is visible in the lower left. Our packs are just below the center of the image. Rocks cover the surface. The glacier is steep enough higher up that they roll or slide down to the lower slope area. You can also see the ice overhang below and to the right of our packs. The ice close to the bedrock melts a bit faster than that above and there are some places where small streams run beneath the glacier and carve some of the ice out too.
