Here are the movies of the experiments we did in class to demonstrate a few concepts of sediment stability. The main things we demonstrated were that slope, grain size, and moisture content of the soil affect the potential for landslides. But also that infiltration rates depend on grain size and that the pattern of water flow over or through a soil can affect the landslide potential as well.
